£500 Support Payment for Unpaid Carers
A one-off £500 payment is available to all eligible unpaid carers in Wales who were in receipt of Carers Allowance on 31 March 2022.
The payment is being made in recognition of the increased financial pressures many unpaid carers have experienced during the pandemic, and to help with some of the additional costs they have incurred. The payment is targeted towards those individuals who care for someone for at least 35 hours a week and have low incomes.
Individuals are not eligible for the payment if
· they have an underlying entitlement to Carers Allowance but do not receive a payment because they are in receipt of another benefit at the same or higher rate; or
· they only receive a carer premium within a means tested benefit.
If you believe you may qualify for this support, you can submit a claim through this website from 9am on 16 May 2022.
All registration forms must be received before 5pm on 15 July 2022. Payments for successful claims will be made from June through to the end of September 2022.
Please note, you should register with the Council where you live, not the Council where the person you care for lives (if it is different).

Taliad Cymorth o £500 i Ofalwyr Di-dâl
Mae taliad untro o £500 ar gael i bob gofalwr di-dâl cymwys yng Nghymru a oedd yn cael Lwfans Gofalwyr ar 31 Mawrth 2022.
Mae’r taliad yn cael ei wneud i gydnabod y pwysau ariannol cynyddol maen nhw wedi’u hwynebu yn ystod y pandemig, ac i helpu gyda rhai o’r costau ychwanegol maen nhw wedi’u hwynebu. Targedir y taliad tuag at yr unigolion hynny sy’n gofalu am rywun am o leiaf 35 awr yr wythnos ac ar incwm isel.
Nid yw unigolion yn gymwys i gael y taliad os
· oes ganddynt hawl sylfaenol i gael Lwfans Gofalwyr ond nad ydynt yn cael taliad oherwydd eu bod yn derbyn budd-dal arall ar yr un gyfradd neu gyfradd uwch; neu
· dim ond premiwm gofalwr o fewn budd-dal prawf modd y maent yn ei dderbyn
Os ydych chi’n credu y gallech chi fod yn gymwys i gael y cymorth hwn, gallwch gyflwyno hawliad drwy’r wefan hon o 9am ar 16 Mai 2022 ymlaen.
Rhaid derbyn pob ffurflen gofrestru cyn 5pm ar 15 Gorffennaf 2022. Bydd taliadau ar gyfer hawliadau llwyddiannus yn cael eu gwneud o fis Mehefin tan ddiwedd mis Medi 2022.
