The nominations took place in the summer with over 100 people in Newport nominated, this number was reduced to two in each category selected by a panel that represented the diverse community we have here in the authority.
You can read about each of the two short listed nominees in the relevant category further down on this page.
Listen to the nominees on the Newport City Show Podcast from Newport City Radio
Over the past 7 weeks a number of the shortlisted nominees have headed into Newport City Radio to talk about the work their group does, the challenges they face and how it feels to be recognised at this years award ceremony.
We'd like to thank the whole team at Newport City Radio for all the great work they have done to provide the platform for groups to promote their work on the Podcast.
