One Beat Caerphilly Success!

GAVO hosted the bi-annual One Beat Showcase Event on Wednesday 27th March, and what a day we had!  The Third Sector really took over our wonderful hosts, Blackwood Rugby Club!  Over 40 community groups and organisations were in attendance, spanning three rooms.  We also had demonstrations by Tae Kwon Do Wales, DNL Dance, Sweetpea Yoga and the Welsh Folk Musicians.

There was also a free Easter Egg hunt, which we provided 42 books and eggs to children that visited, along with arts and crafts activities and a really cool Flight Simulator!

The aim for these events is two-fold - for our fantastic sector to network with each other and show what great work they’re doing.  This then generates better co-production and partnerships to form, and joint project work to flourish.

Secondly, it gives them a chance to promote their services and activities to the general public.

A fantastic day, lots of great information and advice provided and activities held. Thank you to everyone that attended!
